This edition is an urtext edition in the sense that apart from the
arpeggiated double stops, the transpositions and breath marks no tempo, dynamic,phrasing markings have been added and the articulations can be deduced from historical sources [with the exception of the preludes from Suites III and VIwhere the slurs have been slightly altered]. In this way, the saxophonist can independently work out which articulation musically and physically makes sense.
Important: All suites are set in the original keys(Suite I in G, II in D, III in C, IV in Eb, V in C & VI in D).Since this results in a rather difficult key for the baritone saxophonist to play in Suite VI, the arranger also offers a transposed version.
