The roots of blues and jazz, as well as the styles that emerge from them, such as jazz rock, funk, soul or even hip-hop, lie not in complex harmonies or unusual melody lines, but in their exceptionally rhythmic interpretation. Of course everything is allowed in harmony here, but if it does not groove, then a beautiful sound and ingenious runs make no sense. So it takes the right music to catch the mystery of Maceo Parker, Bill Evans or Cannonball Adderley, because they always hit the right point!
Move is the perfect song to sing along and snap! With Another Story you can calmly try out how dirty your sound really can be, while the task to be solved in the following track requires a beautiful sound: Let The Sunshine In! Body Blues, on the other hand, has a really tricky chorus and is definitely immensely physical, but then there are two times for big emotions: first in the style of Peter Gabriel with Think Big and finally highly romantic in Your Melody, which is exclusively accompanied by strings and percussion. By the way: You don’t have to be afraid of the 16th notes, because a glance at the basic tempo is enough to establish: I can, because it is really very slow!
