Score and Parts
CHEDEVILLES compositions never seem complex or overloaded, always sound light-footed and elegant, but without being banal. In the sixth Flute Sonata, even more unusual forms of dance can be found like a delightful Loure, so that this volume is excellently suited as a continuation of the third sonata, not only in numbers but also in content.
What number three is, continues in number six: All pieces are by no means complex and require no high degree of virtuosity, but a considerable amount of attention in terms of intonation, expression and finesse. The situation is also pleasant, with duets always the full extent of the instrument is maxed out, but without staying permanently in clear heights and the keys do not overwhelm the one who has been practicing his instrument for two years.
