"Garzono ui" has a nice backstory: In 1992/93 Gerald Preinfalk was allowed to study at the Berklee School of Music in Boston with George Garzone. This experience turned his life completely upside down - Preinfalk wanted to become the best jazz saxophonist in the universe. After years of insight, the 2014 World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg had the opportunity to perform a piece for Garzone together with Preinfalks "SAX-SIPPIA" saxophone orchestra from Graz.

The piece was written, but George couldn't come, whereupon Preinfalk had to rewrite it as "new" - "Ui" comes from Hungarian and means "new". The musical idea of the piece is based on a jazz standard and subsequently describes the "Triadic Concept" invented by George in written form up to fast microtonal sequences that are reminiscent of George Aperghis. The baritone or tubax solo describes a deep counterpoint to the "jazzy" scenery. After a completely free soprano saxophone solo comes the tenor saxophone solo, which is essentially a transcription of a Garzone solo, but with a special orchestration that is definitely reminiscent of a big band. You can hear particularly well how colorful a saxophone orchestra can be.
