The Frankfurt Suite consists of a total of eight movements, named after well-known places in the Main metropolis. Historical observations such as the revolution of 1848, the student revolt of 1968 or the old Jewish quarter flow harmoniously into the work and leave audible traces: a kaleidoscope around Frankfurt am Main. The suite is composed in a sophisticated way, but is full of good-sounding melodies - one of which is even dedicated to the Frankfurter Eintracht football club. Overall: Great fun for six saxophones of all voice ranges.
