„Ein musikalischer Spaß“, created in 1787, is today considered a satirical version of a symphony that Mozart probably dedicated to those musicians who were not exactly virtuoso experts. And he knew a few of them. In any case, Mozart has skilfully built in various musical stumbling blocks and apparent musical mistakes that make connoisseurs more than just smile.
The minuet arranged here for piano and saxophone is supplemented by two more, which are also easy to play and thus give saxophonists a good introduction to classical music. Very good material for chamber music and foreplay evenings!
