Score and Parts

The five divertimenti for three instruments, whose exact year of origin can no longer be determined exactly (but they were most likely created around 1785), exist in various arrangements for all possible instruments, which speaks for their popularity even at that time. It is very likely that Mozart wrote them for three basset horns in F. But there is also a version for two clarinets in B flat and bassoon, which was published by Simrock in the first decade of the 19th century.

The levels of difficulty in the individual sentences range from very easy to medium.

Regarding transposition, the first voice was used in both versions: both the first basset horn and the first clarinet have a range of voices from (notated) e 'to d' '', this also applies to the first saxophone in both arrangements. In this way, the existing keys are relatively pleasant to play for all saxophones. The articulation largely follows the original text. It was supplemented in a few places and in a few other places it was adapted to the playing characteristics of the saxophone in accordance with the instrument.
