Composer/Author:
PETER-HORAS, T.
Arranged/Written for: Saxophone/Bassoon and Piano
Instrumentation: Baritone Saxophone or Bassoon
Including Playalong-CD
At the latest since his duet volume for baritone saxophonists we know, that THOMAS PETER-HORAS has a big heart for deep notes. However, his partner also indulges in a woofer, namely the bassoon. So he wrote these compositions originally for the deep double tube, but always with the rough sound of the baritone saxophone in the ear, and presented us soon as the "processing" as a full transcription, which we hereby hand over to the public.
And if bassoon and baritone saxophone want to play together – you are welcome! The pieces are a coherent cycle, coordinated with each other in terms of content and of penetrating depth, not too difficult to play, but composed in a very far-reaching position so that baritones can do more than just "bahup". Stylistically, the pieces are located in lyrical jazz with an impact on pop. The enclosed CD contains all titles and their playback in two speeds: one at slow tempo for the development of the pieces and then at the original speed!
