The second volume of the saxophone school by BEAT WENGER is all about improvisation and the improvement of general technique. In addition to a continuing rhythm course as well as scale- and chord exercises, the so-called elements form the heart of the book.
Here you will find typical jazz chord progressions, to which Beat Wenger gives you different so-called "licks", means short melodies. These typical jazz lines are a perfect match for the chords, but these melodies are written in one key only - you have to transpose the other keys yourself.
This sounds like the title of the book, „Beinhart“, but you get used to it quickly and learn something very important, namely to think music! So Beat Wenger leads you step by step with his band on two (!) playalong-cds towards jazz improvisation and once you've worked through the booklet, you can easily improvise over standard jazz standards. Time for Härte 3!
