The tunes have no Étude character, but you can practice excellent the stylistic subtleties in Blues, Swing and Latin and fingerings are not too hard to play.
The third and final volume of the duet series by Frederik Feindt is based on a concept: Crime music! Each piece creates a certain "criminal-creepy-exciting" atmosphere, which of course you can use well for your purposes in performances of all kinds. Titles like Crime Time, Chaisin weirdly or Sinnless Sinner mean tingling excitement in a duet!
In terms of difficulty, Feindt makes a leap forward: the tempo is fast (like the dramatic action in a thrilling movie), the omens are more demanding (as in an Ingmar Bergmann movie) and phrasing like dynamics is equal to an Indiana Jones movie. Educators beware: here lurk pieces with high value!
