By The Way was originally written by Thomas Peter-Horas for piano and saxophone, but it grooved so well that the author decided to arrange the song for saxophone trio as well. A good idea, we think, because the range has so far been rather thin, especially in the area of jazz with an afro feel. So this piece is just right, is straightforward to play with its straight rhythm and is also big fun for the audience. It's worth listening to, because with the playalong practicing is so much fun again - for everyone involved!
