Score and Parts
This selection of 15 duets for saxophones in same tuning by THOMAS VOIGT is suitable for players who are looking for unusual literature with a focus on Christmas. In addition to a large part of anonymous compositions up to the beginning of the baroque age, the job description "composer" was not yet pronounced and the attribution of the name was unusual. Names such as Cantiones and Cantional stand for the Christmas spirit of the 15th century: Welcome to the Renaissance! Beyond the usual paths, these duets are a welcome change for the classroom, for teachers AND students alike.
The music of the Renaissance knew certain adversities of modern times such as complex dynamics, racing tempi or barely comprehensible harmony. All the better, however, the "cat-and-mouse game" in terms of polyphony, so you have to concentrate here. However, the keys are easy and the situation rarely goes beyond the c '' 'in the high position and below the c' in the low position.
